CSC Corptax is an enterprise corporate income tax system that runs US federal, state and international compliance, ASC 740 provision and Pillar 2 reporting from one database, built for large corporate tax departments.
Independently scored, one dimension at a time. Every dimension is sourced, and we say whether a claim is published, reported, or estimated.
Corptax lists Forms 1120, 5471 and 8858, state and local income tax returns across all US jurisdictions, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Section 965, Subpart F, foreign tax credit limits and CAMT (pages checked 4 October 2026). It covers life, non-life and property and casualty insurers, REITs, pass-throughs, CbC reporting and Pillar 2 GIR and QDMTT, with obligations tracked in 60+ jurisdictions. Provision handles GAAP and IFRS, and ASU 2023-09 disclosures.
Corptax offers 24x7 access to help, extended weekend hours in busy season, and a Silver plan included with every solution, with Gold and Platinum upgrades (support pages checked 4 October 2026). CSC cites TSIA Support Staff Excellence awards consecutively since 2009 and a 99 percent satisfaction rating, both vendor-reported. Loan staff and e-file assistance cover peak-season gaps.
CSC says Corptax supports 1,000 corporate clients in 100 countries, including 50 percent of the Fortune 500 and 60 percent of the Fortune 100 (checked 4 October 2026). It supports unlimited unitary state groups and automated consolidated sub-groups across jurisdictions. The public Power Platform connector is throttled at 100 calls a minute per connection, which caps bulk automation.
Corptax keeps audit trails back to source data, drills from summary results to transaction-level detail and centralizes user access, per its compliance and provision pages checked 4 October 2026. It e-files US federal and state returns and, since June 2026, is an HMRC-recognized software provider for UK Pillar 2 filings. CSC's Corptax pages do not state SOC 1 or SOC 2 coverage, so the assurance report has to be requested.
The Corptax Connectors Suite covers Microsoft Power Automate, Corptax Office for two-way Excel, an Alteryx connector and a Web Services API, per a February 2026 Corptax post. Data Exchange Manager automates trial balance and general ledger imports, and provision outputs ERP-ready journal entries. CSC names no packaged native connector for SAP, Oracle or NetSuite, so ERP feeds run through Data Exchange or the API.
Every client gets a Corptax training specialist during implementation, and Corptax Professional Services runs guided-to-full rollouts (checked 4 October 2026). Customer stories show the range: AltaGas went live on Provision and Compliance in under six months, while HP called its reimplementation year foundational. A 2020 Capterra reviewer reported hiring Deloitte to help with a costly implementation.
No first-party MCP server is listed in the official MCP registry, on GitHub or in Corptax material as of 4 October 2026. A Corptax-published Power Platform connector on Microsoft Learn exposes 15 actions, including data import and cart triggers, to Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps and Logic Apps. In-product AI is mostly announced: an October 2025 Corptax post listed import, preparer, reviewer and e-file agents as roadmap items.
There is no public price list, and every module is quote only. The one public benchmark is Vendr's median of $82,547 a year, which its buyer guide says draws on 2 completed deals (checked 4 October 2026). Gold and Platinum support and Professional Services are extra, and the connector needs its own Corptax license plus a Microsoft Premium plan.

You are buying one tax database that carries the trial balance from provision through federal, state and international returns and on to Pillar 2. Corptax computes GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Subpart F and foreign tax credit limits, populates Forms 1120, 5471 and 8858, and prepares state returns for separate and consolidated filers across all US jurisdictions, per CSC pages checked 4 October 2026. CSC says 1,000 corporate clients use it, including half the Fortune 500. Support is a real part of the purchase: CSC cites TSIA Support Staff Excellence awards every year since 2009.
The catch is cost and effort. Pricing is quote only, and the one public benchmark is Vendr's median of $82,547 a year, drawn from just 2 completed deals. The first year is a project: HP called its reimplementation year foundational, and many teams lean on Corptax Professional Services, loan staff or a Big Four firm. The AI story is mostly announced. Import, preparer, reviewer and e-file agents were roadmap items in October 2025, and there is no MCP server.
Before signing, get in writing which modules, entities and users the price covers, the renewal cap, and what Gold or Platinum support adds and costs. Ask for the current SOC 1 Type 2 report for the environment you will run on, hosted or on-premises. Add an exit clause that covers prior-year returns, e-file packages, workpapers and ownership history. If Pillar 2 matters, ask which countries Corptax files to directly today and which still need a manual portal step.
Jobs, mapped to how finance teams actually buy.
Corptax computes E&P, Subpart F, GILTI and foreign tax credit limits and populates the forms automatically. Brother International told CSC its four-person team saves about 60 hours with this automation, a figure the vendor publishes. The same entity and ownership data then feeds state and Pillar 2 work.
Corptax AIT runs current and deferred calculations, ETR and return-to-provision in a web-based module and outputs ERP-ready journal entries. Because provision and compliance share one database, a finished provision can be copied into the compliance case. The one-day figure is a customer quote on CSC's site.
Corptax GMT evaluates safe harbors, calculates top-up tax under QDMTT, IIR and UTPR, and generates the GIR and local QDMTT returns. Since June 2026 it files UK Pillar 2 returns directly through HMRC's API. Elsewhere, such as Australia, it organizes the data for entry into the tax authority's portal.
Teams pair Corptax with Alteryx, Power Automate or Power Apps to standardize workpapers and bring ERP data in without rekeying. Fortive's roughly 500-hour figure and 3M's 325 hours on depreciation are vendor-published results. Someone on the team has to build and maintain those workflows.
HP returned to Corptax after three years of outsourcing and rebuilt its data inputs, imports and reviews with Corptax Professional Services. The first year cut the cycle from about seven months to about six, with a target of three to four. Loan staff can cover capacity gaps during the transition.

Here's what it really costs: published rates where a vendor lists them, aggregated quote data where they don't, plus a path to your own number.
Each module is quoted separately. Vendr's public median contract is $82,547 a year, from 2 completed deals.
Included with all Corptax solutions, per CSC's support page.
Upgraded support plans; CSC does not publish what they add or what they cost.
Implementation, loan staff, e-file assistance, GMT implementation, ASU 2023-09 disclosure and AI data readiness packages.
Needs a Corptax environment licensed for the connector plus a Microsoft Power Apps or Power Automate plan with Premium connectors.
Las Vegas, 7 to 10 December 2026: $2,595 standard, $2,295 early bird through 18 October, $1,995 each for groups of 2 or more (checked 4 October 2026).
Corptax is quote only. Vendr's public page shows a median of $82,547 a year, but its buyer guide says the figure draws on 2 completed deals (checked 4 October 2026). That sample is too small to budget a multi-module, multi-entity contract. Ask for module, entity and user pricing in writing, plus a renewal cap.
HP described its reimplementation year as foundational, and a 2020 Capterra reviewer said the company hired Deloitte for a costly implementation. Corptax's own model leans on Professional Services, loan staff and a dedicated training specialist (checked 4 October 2026). Budget for outside help, and schedule cutover away from the spring extension and October filing deadlines.
In October 2025 Corptax listed import, preparer, reviewer and e-file agents as roadmap items, and a September 2025 post marked at least predictive thresholds as coming in 2026. There is no MCP server as of 4 October 2026. Ask for a live demo of any agent on your own data, and for release notes that show it generally available.
Corptax announced direct electronic filing to HMRC for UK Pillar 2 returns on 22 June 2026. For Australia, its Eye on Pillar 2 page says Corptax organizes the data so it can be entered into the ATO portal (checked 4 October 2026). Confirm, country by country, whether Corptax files directly, produces schema-aligned XML, or hands you data to key in.
Corptax drives the tax provision, so external auditors will want a SOC 1 Type 2 report on the service. CSC's Corptax pages describe audit trails and centralized access but do not state SOC 1 or SOC 2 coverage (checked 4 October 2026). Hosting comes in several forms, including application hosting and SaaS, so confirm which environment the report covers.
The Corptax Power Platform connector requires a Corptax environment licensed for it and a Microsoft Premium plan, per Microsoft Learn (checked 4 October 2026). It is not offered in US Government GCC, GCC High or DoD clouds, and it is capped at 100 calls a minute per connection. Put both licenses in the automation business case.
Scored on what an outside agent can actually reach: the documented API, how it authenticates, and whether the vendor ships an MCP server.
Exists: There is no first-party Corptax MCP server. None is listed in the official MCP registry or on GitHub, and Corptax documentation names none (checked 4 October 2026). The one registry entry with a similar name belongs to an unrelated UK corporation tax calculator site.
Scope: The nearest agent surface is the Corptax connector for Microsoft Power Platform, documented on Microsoft Learn. Its 15 actions export data and return calculation grids, list entities, lookups and e-file groups, download returns and reports, pull GMT diagnostics, import data through pre-defined packages, and trigger configured carts and return print jobs. It is throttled at 100 calls per 60 seconds per connection and is not offered in US Government or China clouds.
Turnkey: Admin-configured. The connector needs a Corptax environment licensed for it and a Microsoft Power Apps or Power Automate plan with Premium connectors. The broader Corptax Web Services API supports custom, high-volume integrations, but its documentation sits behind the Corptax client portal.
In-product AI: Corptax Analytics flags anomalous entities with Z-score analysis and refreshes dashboards hourly. In October 2025 Corptax described an agent that streamlines trial balance import and listed import, preparer, reviewer and e-file agents as roadmap items. A September 2025 post named intelligent account mapping, agentic imports and predictive thresholds, marking at least predictive thresholds as coming in 2026. Treat these as announced until release notes show them generally available.
Corptax said GTI, a system for tracking global tax and regulatory obligations, owners, deadlines and documents, is available now. It can run standalone or inside the Corptax platform.
Corptax announced it is an HMRC-recognized software provider for Pillar 2 and that Corptax GMT now submits UK filings through HMRC's Pillar 2 API.
A Corptax post set out four connectors: Microsoft Power Automate, Corptax Office for two-way Excel, an Alteryx connector and the Corptax Web Services API.
A Corptax technical lead said the roadmap includes import, preparer, reviewer and e-file agents, and described an existing agent that streamlines trial balance import.
Corptax said intelligent account mapping, agentic imports and predictive thresholds would extend its automation, marking at least predictive thresholds as coming in 2026.
CSC does not publish prices. Corptax is sold module by module through a demo and a quote.
The one public benchmark is Vendr, which shows a median of $82,547 a year (checked 4 October 2026). Vendr says that figure draws on 2 completed deals, so a Fortune 500 group licensing compliance, provision, GMT and CbC should not treat it as a budget (Audit Friendly estimate).
Budget separately for Gold or Platinum support, Corptax Professional Services, loan staff in busy season, and the Power Platform connector license if you plan to automate.
CSC does not publish standard contract terms, renewal caps or exit terms for Corptax, so negotiate them into the order form.
Several export paths exist today: Corptax Office for two-way Excel, the Web Services API for high-volume transfers, and connector actions that download returns and reports and export data packages. A data archive is listed among the hosting options.
Write an exit clause that covers prior-year returns, e-file packages, workpapers, entity and ownership data, and the file formats. CSC's own June 2026 post argues that tax teams should own their data and AI outputs, a useful line to quote back in negotiation.
CSC does not publish a standard timeline. Customer stories range from AltaGas going live on Provision and Compliance in under six months to HP calling its reimplementation year foundational.
Corptax Professional Services delivers guided-to-full implementation, every client gets a Corptax training specialist, and loan staff can fill gaps. Some customers also bring in a Big Four firm.
The tax team owns trial balance mapping, entity and ownership setup and prior-year data conversion, with IT setting up ERP feeds through Data Exchange Manager or the API.
Not natively. Corptax has no MCP server as of 4 October 2026.
The closest route is the Corptax connector for Microsoft Power Platform, which Copilot Studio agents and Power Automate flows can call. It exports data, lists entities and e-file groups, downloads returns and reports, pulls GMT diagnostics, imports data through pre-defined packages, and triggers configured carts. A developer could wrap the same connector or the Web Services API in a custom MCP server for Claude.
Corptax's own import, preparer, reviewer and e-file agents were described as roadmap items in October 2025. Treat them as announced until release notes show them shipped.
