MineralTree is accounts payable and payment automation for US mid-market finance teams: invoice capture, approvals, and supplier payments by ACH, check, virtual card or international wire. It is sold direct and inside Sage Intacct; its privacy notice (June 2026) calls it a Global Payments company.
Independently scored, one dimension at a time. Every dimension is sourced, and we say whether a claim is published, reported, or estimated.
Payments go by ACH through Priority Payments (ACH.com), mailed check, SilverPay virtual card, tokenized American Express cards and international wires to 73 supplier countries from bank accounts in 37 countries (help center list, checked 27 September 2026); the general FAQ instead claims more than 130 local vendor currencies, so confirm coverage for your suppliers. Funding is direct debit from your existing account with no pre-funded settlement account, and virtual card payments carry no per-transaction fee, earn rebates and are enrolled by MineralTree's team. ACH reaches suppliers on day 4 or 5 after approval per the ACH.com article (the Vendor Payments page says 3 to 4 business days), and the FX margin is undisclosed.
The TotalAP FAQ says implementations average 4 weeks from kickoff to first payment, with some clients done in 2 to 3 weeks, and the integrations FAQ says integration is included with no consultant required (checked 27 September 2026). NetSuite installs as a certified SuiteApp, and the integrations FAQ says most customers are live in under 21 days. Payment onboarding adds paperwork: an ACH application with a voided check and photo ID, which can take up to 5 business days to set up with Priority Payments.
Direct API two-way sync covers QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct and NetSuite (certified SuiteApp), with connector apps for QuickBooks Desktop and Dynamics GP, and the help center documents a Xero integration (checked 27 September 2026). Intacct sync supports all eight standard dimensions, and NetSuite supports class, department, location and customer at summary and line level. Acumatica and Sage 50, 100 and X3 use File Connect over SFTP, and ACH details do not sync to NetSuite. Business Central appears in the FAQ and as a connector in November 2023 release notes but has no integration guide or product page, so confirm how it connects before buying.
Payment approval supports single and dual approvers with dollar thresholds and per-approver limits, and the Payment Authorizer and Accounting Manager roles cannot be combined (help center, checked 27 September 2026). Controls include 2FA at login and payment release, Positive Pay, vendor-change alerts with a Vendor Audit Report, and PO matching against ordered or received quantity for NetSuite, Xero and File Connect; the TotalAP FAQ lists SOC 1 Type 2, SOC 2 Type 2, SOC 2+/HIPAA and PCI DSS Level 1. Gaps: no W-9 collection or 1099 filing, only a 1099 flag synced from Sage Intacct, and international payments are single approval even when dual approval is on.
Support is included, by live chat, ticket and phone, Monday to Friday 8 AM to 8 PM Eastern (help center article updated 3 June 2026), and Vendor Payments customers get a dedicated implementation manager followed by a Payment Optimization Manager. Capterra shows 4.4 of 5 from 77 reviews with 4.6 for customer service, and SoftwareReviews shows a 7.8 of 10 CX score from 19 reviews (checked 27 September 2026); G2 blocked access. There is no weekend coverage and no published response-time target.
The About page claims $20B+ in payments a year and 2,000+ clients and partners (checked 27 September 2026), while the 2021 acquisition release cited more than 3,000 companies and financial institutions, so neither count is settled. Multi-entity works at Intacct top or entity level and across NetSuite OneWorld subsidiaries, but subsidiaries in one MineralTree company must share a base currency and cannot be added after the first sync. Authorizers can release about 500 domestic but only 20 international payments per batch, new ACH limits go up to $400,000 before a financial review, and high-volume multi-ERP shops are steered to the separate Inspyrus product.
There is no list price; mineraltree.com/pricing redirects to the demo page (27 September 2026). The TotalAP FAQ lists one-time setup fees, an annual platform fee and monthly usage fees for invoice capture, ACH and check, plus possible integration fees, while the general FAQ says pricing is all-inclusive with no transaction fees. Vendr's public page shows a median of $18,902 a year, and virtual card payments carry no per-transaction fee, but the FX margin on international payments is not published.
Capture combines OCR, machine learning and human review for a vendor-claimed accuracy of up to 99 percent, with most invoices processed within 90 minutes (help center, checked 27 September 2026). The June to September 2026 release notes add approval screens, bulk vendor updates and payout countries, with no AI agent or generative feature. No public API or developer portal was found, the MineralTree GitHub organization has 0 public repositories, and the official MCP registry returned no MineralTree server on 27 September 2026.
Written by the Audit Friendly research team. No vendor edits, no sponsored placement.
You are buying a payments service with an AP workflow around it. TotalAP captures invoices with OCR plus human review, routes approvals by email, and pays suppliers by ACH, mailed check, virtual card or international wire, debited straight from your existing bank account with no pre-funded settlement account. A payment optimization team analyzes your payment mix and enrolls approved suppliers in virtual card, which carries no per-transaction fee and earns rebates (published, checked 27 September 2026). Sage Intacct users can run Vendor Payments powered by MineralTree inside Intacct instead; Sage named MineralTree its Global FinTech Partner of the Year in November 2025.
The software side is conventional. Capture leans on human validation to reach the vendor-claimed accuracy of up to 99 percent, and there is no in-product AI agent, no public API, no MCP server and no W-9 or 1099 filing. Pricing is quote only, and the vendor's own FAQ pages disagree on whether you pay transaction fees. ACH is slow by current standards: a payment approved on day 0 reaches the supplier on day 4 or 5. International payments skip dual approval and cap at 20 per batch.
Before signing, get in writing every usage fee (invoice capture, ACH, check, international wire), any setup or integration fee, the FX margin on international payments, the virtual card rebate rate and payout schedule, the annual price increase cap, and your ACH transaction limit. Ask which entity issues and processes the SilverPay virtual card now that Global Payments has sold its Issuer Solutions business to FIS, and require a full export of documents, check images and approval history on exit.
Jobs, mapped to how finance teams actually buy.
Vendor Payments powered by MineralTree adds a pay step inside Sage Intacct that sends each vendor its preferred method: virtual card, ACH or check. Status tabs show pending, processing and posted payments without a separate login. The vendor says most customers go live in about 4 weeks with a dedicated implementation manager.
MineralTree's payment optimization team analyzes your payment mix, finds suppliers that accept card and runs email and phone enrollment only for suppliers you approve. Card payments approved by 7 PM Eastern typically go out the same day, and rebates are typically paid annually by ACH. The rebate rate is not published.
Invoices emailed or uploaded to the MineralTree inbox are captured by OCR, machine learning and human review, and the help center says most are processed within 90 minutes. Approvals route by email under tiered rules, and approvers can act without logging in. PO matching against ordered or received quantities is available for NetSuite, Xero and File Connect.
International payments use an FX Payments type, lock a live rate at authorization and debit the funding account immediately. Funding can come from US accounts or from banks in 36 other countries in local currency. Limits: 20 international payments per batch, single approval only, and a KYC review before first use.
File Connect exchanges invoices, vendors, credits and payments with systems such as Acumatica, Sage 50, Sage 100 and Sage X3 through CSV files over SFTP. The help center says MineralTree checks the upload folder every 15 minutes, and the integrations page says approved invoices and payments export hourly or on demand. No ERP replacement is needed.

Here's what it really costs: published rates where a vendor lists them, aggregated quote data where they don't, plus a path to your own number.
Mid-market platform sold as full invoice-to-pay, payments only, or invoice capture and approval only. Priced as setup plus an annual platform fee plus monthly usage fees, per the TotalAP FAQ.
Embedded payments inside Sage Intacct by virtual card, ACH or check, funded by direct debit from existing bank accounts. No price published.
Enterprise AP and payment automation for high-volume, multi-ERP environments such as Oracle and SAP. No price published.
One-time setup fees, plus integration fees that may apply by accounting system, banking setup and onsite training (TotalAP FAQ). The integrations FAQ says integration is included.
Monthly usage fees for invoice capture, ACH payments and check payments, per the TotalAP FAQ. Rates are not published.
Rate locked at authorization and refreshed every minute; up to 20 international payments per batch; KYC and AML review before first use.
No per-transaction fee to the buyer and no MineralTree fee to suppliers; cash rebates on approved spend, typically paid annually by ACH.
The general FAQ page says MineralTree pricing is all-inclusive, with no user fees, transaction fees or workflow configuration fees, and a fixed monthly or annual fee based on volume. The TotalAP product FAQ lists one-time setup fees, an annual platform fee and monthly usage fees for invoice capture, ACH and check payments, plus integration fees that may apply. The integrations FAQ says integration is included. All three were checked 27 September 2026; get each fee line in the order form.
The Multi-Currency Invoices and International Payments article (updated 8 January 2026) says international payments are single approval: with dual approval on, only one authorizer approves them. Authorizers can release 20 international payments per batch versus about 500 domestic, and bank accounts are debited immediately on submission. The exchange rate refreshes every minute and the margin inside it is not published. Customers also pass a KYC and AML review before first use.
ACH runs through Priority Payments (ACH.com). Per the ACH.com Payments Overview (updated 30 December 2025), payments approved before the 7 PM Eastern cutoff are debited on day 2 or 3 and credited to the vendor on day 4, sometimes day 5. New customers get a transaction limit of up to $400,000 based on the application, and higher limits need a financial review. No same-day ACH option is documented in the help center.
The NetSuite Integration Guide (updated 22 May 2026) says subsidiaries cannot be added to a MineralTree company after the initial sync; the workaround is a separate MineralTree company. All subsidiaries in one company must share a base currency in NetSuite, and ACH details do not sync between MineralTree and NetSuite. The Dynamics GP page says Binary Stream Multi-Entity Management is not supported.
No public API, developer portal or MCP server was found on 27 September 2026, and the MineralTree GitHub organization has no public repositories. Search report downloads cap at 10,000 records per file, and the Analytics Reporting article says users without export access must ask Customer Success for an upgrade. W-9 collection and 1099 filing are absent; MineralTree only carries the 1099 flag synced from Sage Intacct.
Global Payments bought Worldpay and sold its Issuer Solutions business to FIS on 9 January 2026, announced 12 January 2026, and now calls itself a pure-play commerce solutions provider. MineralTree's privacy notice updated 25 June 2026 still says 'a Global Payments company'. The 10-K filed 20 February 2026 lists MineralTree, Inc. as a subsidiary, but that list reflects year end 2025, before the sale closed. Global Payments' filings describe the divested Issuer Solutions business as including virtual cards and accounts payable, and a recast 2024 segment disclosure filed in November 2025 says Issuer Solutions revenue included fees from B2B payments services, so ask which entity issues and processes SilverPay virtual cards today and whether rebate terms changed.
Scored on what an outside agent can actually reach: the documented API, how it authenticates, and whether the vendor ships an MCP server.
Inside the product, AI is limited to capture. The help center says invoice capture uses optical character recognition, machine learning and human review, and MineralTree claims up to 99 percent accuracy with most invoices processed within 90 minutes (checked 27 September 2026). Coding comes from vendor defaults or copy coding from a prior invoice, and PO matching is rules-based with tolerances. The June to September 2026 release notes cover approval screens, bulk vendor updates and new payout countries, with no AI agent or generative feature. The separate enterprise product, Inspyrus, is marketed with AI and machine learning for coding and matching; that is vendor-claimed.
Exists: no public API. No developer portal or public API reference was found. The developer, docs and api subdomains of mineraltree.com did not resolve on 27 September 2026, API Tracker lists no developer docs, the 173-article help center has no API article, the MineralTree GitHub organization has 0 public repositories, and the official MCP registry and npm returned nothing for MineralTree. A third-party manual site indexes a 'Core MineralTree API User Guide' (version 5.28) describing a REST API for designated API users, but that page could not be read (403) and nothing on mineraltree.com offers such an API to customers today.
Scope: none for customers. Integrations run on the ERPs' own interfaces (NetSuite SuiteTalk, Intacct Web Services, QuickBooks) and on File Connect, which exchanges CSV files over SFTP on a schedule. Outside the UI, the only data paths are ERP sync and report downloads capped at 10,000 records per file.
Turnkey: not applicable. No admin setting enables agent access, and generic automation catalogs were not counted.
Who wins for whom: NetSuite, Xero or File Connect teams that want PO matching on ordered or received quantity plus dual approvers at payment release: MineralTree. Property managers and HOA firms on Yardi, MRI or AppFolio that want approvals by property with 2 and 3-way matching: AvidXchange. Small US teams that want the W-9 Agent on every plan and 1099 e-filing to the IRS and 50 states: BILL.
Tiered approvals, quantity-based PO matching. Invoices route through tiered approvals, PO matching checks ordered or received quantity for NetSuite, Xero and File Connect, payment release allows dual approvers with dollar thresholds, and SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 are listed.
Where it loses: There is no W-9 collection or 1099 filing, only a 1099 flag synced from Sage Intacct, and NetSuite subsidiaries cannot be added after the first sync.

Mirrored approvals, 2 and 3-way match. AvidXchange builds workflows to mirror current approval rules, keeps audit trails in the portal, offers 2 and 3-way PO matching with supplier-level tolerances, and lists 2025 SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 reports.
Where it loses: For 1099s, public pages describe only a report of suppliers paid $600 or more, with no filing or W-9 tool, and its 10-K discloses an April 2023 breach exposing some customer bank data.

Approvals, W-9 Agent, 1099 e-file. Every BILL plan gets approval workflows and the W-9 Agent, the audit trail is time-stamped and cannot be altered, 1099s e-file to the IRS and 50 states, and SOC 1 and SOC 2 Type II audits run annually.
Where it loses: Dual control is Enterprise only, ERP PO sync with 2 and 3-way matching sits on the quote-only Enterprise plan, and none of the pages reviewed mention e-invoicing mandates outside the US.

Who wins for whom: Teams that want rebate-earning virtual cards with no per-transaction fee, debited from their existing bank account: MineralTree. US mid-market teams that want a vendor to enroll suppliers and pay them by card, ACH or check: AvidXchange. Small US teams that want each domestic per-payment fee posted before signing: BILL.
Direct debit, card rebates, wires. MineralTree pays by ACH through Priority Payments, mailed check, SilverPay virtual card with rebates and no per-transaction fee, tokenized Amex cards and international wires to 73 listed supplier countries, debiting the customer's existing account with no pre-funding.
Where it loses: ACH reaches suppliers on day 4 or 5 after approval, the FX margin is undisclosed, and international payments are single approval, capped at 20 per batch, even with dual approval on.

Enrolls suppliers, pays card, ACH, check. The AvidPay Network pays US suppliers by virtual Mastercard within one business day of approval, AvidPay Direct ACH within three, or mailed check, while AvidXchange runs supplier enrollment and calls and buyers can earn rebates.
Where it loses: Payments are domestic in focus with no wire method listed, and suppliers pay AvidPay Direct fees, reported from 1.2 percent plus $1.00 and capped at $300.

Posted per-payment fee table. BILL publishes ACH at $0.59, check at $1.99, free virtual card, card-funded payments at 2.9 percent and instant payments at 1 percent, runs processing in-house with Positive Pay on checks, and pays vendors in 130+ countries.
Where it loses: The FX margin on free local-currency wires is not disclosed, no payer rebate on virtual card payments is published, and API payments need an SMS-verified session.

Global Payments bought Worldpay and sold Issuer Solutions to FIS on 9 January 2026, per its Q2 2026 10-Q, and announced the close on 12 January 2026. MineralTree's privacy notice updated 25 June 2026 still calls it a Global Payments company.
Sage gave the award at its Sage Future Partner Conference in Orlando, citing Vendor Payments powered by MineralTree.
Global Payments and Sage launched embedded vendor payments in Sage Intacct by ACH, virtual card and check, funded by direct debit from existing bank accounts.
MineralTree is quote only. Vendr's public page shows a median contract of $18,902 a year, with a 10th to 90th percentile band of $7,626 to $30,885, from page data covering 17 purchases by 9 buyers (checked 27 September 2026).
The TotalAP FAQ says the price is built from one-time setup fees, an annual platform fee and monthly usage fees for invoice capture, ACH and check payments, with possible integration fees. Users are unlimited. Virtual card payments carry no per-transaction fee and earn rebates, which the vendor says often offset or exceed the platform cost; that outcome is vendor-claimed.
No public subscription agreement or terms of service was found on mineraltree.com on 27 September 2026, so term, renewal and price-increase caps are negotiated. Vendr's guide text says most contracts run 1 to 3 years with auto-renewal notice periods of 30 to 90 days and 3 to 5 percent annual increases (reported; Audit Friendly could not tie these to disclosed contracts).
Your ERP remains the system of record, so posted invoices, payments and vendors already live there. Inside MineralTree, search reports download as CSV up to 10,000 records per file, and support can export document and check images, per the help center. Write a full export of documents, approval history and audit reports into the contract.
MineralTree's own team does it. The TotalAP FAQ says the average is 4 weeks from kickoff to first payment, some clients finish in 2 to 3 weeks, and integration is included with no consultant required (checked 27 September 2026). Vendor Payments for Sage Intacct runs about 4 weeks with a dedicated implementation manager.
Your side supplies an ERP admin for the integration user, approval rules and payment thresholds, and bank paperwork: an ACH application with a voided check and photo ID, which can take up to 5 business days with Priority Payments. International payments need a KYC review first.
Not directly. No public API, developer portal or MCP server was found on 27 September 2026, and the official MCP registry returned no MineralTree server. Claude cannot approve invoices, change vendor bank details or release payments inside MineralTree.
Claude can work with the data after it syncs to NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Dynamics GP or Xero, or with CSV report downloads from MineralTree.
